- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is conducting a survey to determine the level of interest of contractors for Advanced Planning, to support the execution of Guided Missile Destroyer (DDG) availabilities presently under contract with Southwest Marine Inc. in the San Diego ship repair community. The Navy is currently transitioning to include Advanced Planning in all Multi-Ship Multi-Option (MS/MO) contracts. This particular contract however was awarded prior to that transition. Therefore any contractor interested in performing this effort, must demonstrate the ability to develop a close working relationship with Southwest Marine Inc. Advanced Planning includes, but is not limited to, the utilization of a central repository to maintain standard work templates, standard work items, and references for the aforementioned contract. The repository would ensure that technica l and configuration control are not compromised, lessons learned are fed back into the process, and that technical changes can be accomplished globally in a manner that is compatible with the Navy?s Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) model when it is deployed. All interested contractors should notify the above contact in writing at chandlerar@navsea.nav.mil within seven (7) days from the date of synopsis. *****
