- NA The United States Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command located in Rock Island Illinois intends to enter into a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures with Cook Consulting, 5117 21st Ave., Moline, IL 61265 (309) 782-0815 to furn ish all management, personnel, equipment, materials and supplies to manage, operate and administer the Employment Readiness Program and the Financial Readinss Program of Army Community Services at Rock Island Arsenal. The contractor shall provide employm ent assistance to spouse and family members in acquiring skills, develop networks, and utilize resources that will allow them to participate in the workforce and to develop a career/work plan; provide comprehensive, accurate, easily accessible and up-to-d ate information on available employment opportunities, education, and volunteer resources and support services that will help customers make informed decisions on seeking employment; provide a menu of local resources available; provide job search assistanc e to include classes, programs, workshops, seminars and individual sessions; provide career counseling, coaching, and pursue employment partnerships in private industry; provide financial services to assist commanders in maintaining unit financial readine ss to sustain soldiers during deployments; counsel and educate soldiers and families on financial self-sufficiency; provide classes in personal financial management readiness and consumer affairs to soldiers and familly members; provide support to unit com manders in establishing personal financial management readiness training for first/initial term soldiers; provide counseling services to soldiers and family members in areas such as budget development and financial planning, developing a spending plan, man aging personal finanaces and evaluating assets and liabilities; pre-screen and counsel soldiers for the Family Subsistance Supplements Assistance (FSSA) Program; provide debt liquidation assistance, consumer advocacy assistance, and help with consumer comp laint resolution. Interested firms able to meet these requirements in total are invited to submit quotes within 3 working days after appearance of this notice but only in writing with quotes to TACOM-RI, 1 Rock Island Arsenal, ATTN: AMSTA-AQ-ARI-B/Roxan ne Little, Rock Island, IL 61299-7630, via email to Roxanne Little at Roxanne.Little@us.army.mil. If no responses are received within 3 working days after publication of this notice, and funding is available, a sole source purchase order shall be issued to Cook Consulting. All contractors who provide goods and services to the Department of Defense (DOD) must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to be awarded DOD contracts.
