- Description
- The Food and Drug Administration is attempting to identify contractors, 8(a) contractors or small businesses interested in operating, at no cost to the Government, a food service facility at 8301 Muirkirk Road, Laurel, MD. The contractor will operate, prepare, and serve food and non alcoholic beverages. It is desired that the contract serve breakfast, lunch and snacks during the hours of 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. There are currently between 200-300 employees at the Muirkirk Road Campus. It is estimated that approximately 100 employees will eat in the cafeteria on a daily basis. The Government will not charge rent for the facility and will provide the kitchen, utilities, potable water, and telephone service. The Government will also allow the contractor to use the Government equipment located in the kitchen at the site. Contractors interested in operating a cafeteria serving the number of people listed above, should submit a capability statement, along with a list of references/past performance information to the Contract Specialist listed below, no later than the close of business Friday, October 10, 2003. Information will be accepted via mail, E-mail, or fax. Questions should be sent in writing by fax or E-mail and should be received before the due date for responses.
