Description

This notice serves as a synopsis for the upcoming solicitation number F05611-03-R-0055, for the purchase of Cadet Diplomas. The diplomas must be metal plate mounted on American walnut wooden board, metal to be .050 thickness nickel silver alloy, wordage on diploma to be screen printed from finished artwork suitable for reproduction supplied by the USAF Academy. Diplomas to be manufactured in accordance with USAF Academy specifications. This will be a requirements type contract with first year?s performance commencing 01 Jan 2004. Estimated quantities to be 1000 ea, for the basic year, 1000 ea, 1000 ea, 1000 ea and 1000 ea for the four option years. Manufacturing of approximately 40 additional diplomas per year will be required for Cadets who graduate later then class scheduled dates. Delivery FOB destination to USAF Academy CO 80840 not later than 30April each year. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award will be based on best value. Request for Proposal F0561103R0055 will be available on or about 20 October 2003. No telephone requests for this solicitation will be allowed. Only written request received directly from the requester are acceptable. If requesting the proposal by fax, you may fax your request to 719-333-9103, Attn: Sheila R. Garrett. The Standard Industrial Classification number is 3479 and the Business Size Standard is 500. REQUESTERS MUST STATE THEIR BUSINESS SIZE ON EACH REQUEST AND PROVIDE THEIR FAX NUMBER and EMAIL ADDRESS IF AVAILABLE. Woman owned, Veteran Owned, and small disadvantaged businesses are encouraged to submit offers. Offers are to be received at the Operational Contracting Office, 8110 Industrial Drive, Suite 200, USAF Academy, CO 80840-2315, no later than 10 Nov 2003, by 4:00 P.M. Mountain Time. The proposed contract action is an unrestricted action. A subcontracting plan will be required from large businesses (those having more than 500 employees).
