Description

NA The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to award a sole source puchase order on behalf of the WRAIR Division of Neurosciences for a pneumatic percussion device (HPD-1800) to include probes and ancilliary items to Dragonfly Res earch and Development, 163 Main Street, PO Box 507, Ridgeley, West Virginia. These are specifically built by Dragonfly to integrate with the penetrating brain injury (PTBI) device. The PTBI device must be able to meet the specifications required for rapi d inflation/deflation of the PTBI balloon probes, and interface directly with the designated Kopf Sterotaxic Units. The statutory authority for other than full and open is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), only one reponsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The applicable NAICS code is 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. THERE WILL BE NO SOLICITATION ISSUED. See Note 22. Insert 2 days in lieu of 45 days in note 22. The determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, upon receipt of response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
