Description

NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this synopsis. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposa ls are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The combined Synopsis/Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is AMSTAT-RO-0-0404 The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acqui sition Circular 90-46, dated 24 september 1999. The associated standard industrial classification code is 7372, with a size standard of $18.0 million. The requirement is for annual renewal of license/maintenance including the initial conversion software for MSC Patran, MSC Patran CAD Geometry Interfaces/Preferences, Patran Solver Interfaces/Preferences, MSC Fatigue, Nastran, Dytran , Marc, Mvision, Adams and Adams Car, and MSC Easy5 software. This software annual license renewal/added conversion licenses /additional licenses/all inclusive MES conslidated package is for TACOM AMSTA-TR-N, Warren, MI, and the software deliverables required delivery date is October 1, 2003. The period of performance for all MES is October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004. FO B Destination will apply for all deliverables. Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: i) technical capability of the service offered to me et the Government requirement and ii) price. Offerors are advised to include a complete copy of the Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5(a) Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. This acquisition is rated DAO4. The US Army Tank Automo tive and Armaments Command intends to negotiate solely with MSC Software Corporation, 2 MacArthur Place, Santa Ana, CA 92707-5924.
