- STATEMENT OF WORK 1. SCOPE OF WORK 1.1 SERVICES NON-PERSONAL: The contractor shall provide all parts, tools, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and personnel necessary to provide ESN Operator Training. 1.2. Classroom training session to be completed in 5 days for 10 ? 12 students in each session. Two sessions are being purchased. 1.2.1. This training is tailored for the NCC (Network Control Center) operators, and will provide a basic foundation in the ESN components and the associated ESN management tools. The participants will acquire adequate understanding of the concepts (at a high level) fiber channel, SAN, NAS, ESN Management - to be able to perform their job function effectively as it relates to the ESN and to be able to explain these concepts to other colleagues not in the training. 1.2.1. All objectives for this course are task and knowledge oriented with the intent of developing technical skills. The education objective is to provide the most appropriate and optimal training that will allow USAFE personnel to realize full productivity quickly. The standards of performance will be tested with written questions pertaining to the material being presented in each block of training. The standard of performance on the various objectives will be without instructor assistance on any given objective. The instruction in the following tasks and knowledge areas will be to the standard given in the USAFE Enterprise Storage Network Operator Training Plan: Symmetrix Understand Symmetrix Architecture (Overview) Celerra Understand Celerra Architecture (Overview) Perform Celerra Management (Overview) Connectrix and ESN Management Understand Connectrix Architecture (Overview) Manage Connectrix and ESN (Overview) Understand Fibre Channel Basics Set up Switched Environment Identify Software to Manage and Configure Manage Connectrix and ESN (Overview) Understand Physical Cabling Understand Zoning & Zone Set Creation Understand LUN Masking Use Connectrix Manager Manage and Monitor Fabric ECC/OE (EMC Control Center, OE) Understand ECC/OE Architecture (Overview) Get started with ECC/OE Navigate GUI Monitor and manage environment Host Software for SAN Use ECC and ResourcePak for NT Use EMC PowerPath Set up Multipathing Perform Failover and Failback Set Load Balancing Policies Understand TimeFinder/SRDF Use TimeFinder and SRDF SYMCLI 1.3. All services shall be accomplished in accordance with the best commercial practices. The contractor shall provide basic knowledge of the hardware and management tools for the training. . 1.4. Services as required shall be performed only by qualified personnel specially trained for the services required. 1.5. Location of Performance: Classroom training to be held on-site at Ramstein AB Germany A detailed Syllabus shall be submitted upon final proposal acceptance. Course times are based upon at least 8-hour days. Some days will run longer as additional time may be required to complete certain lessons. 2.1. Government?s Responsibilities: 2.1.1. USAFE personnel will make available the ESN located in the USAFE NOSC for the minimum time necessary to perform training tasks requiring live equipment. The rest of the training will be provided in a USAFE provided classroom. The amount of time needed on the actual ESN will be described in the syllabus provided by the contractor. The contractor?s Technical Support personnel will work with USAFE personnel to determine firewall issues, port availability and the optimal configuration to use. 3. HOURS OF OPERATION 3.1. Normal hours of operation are from 0730 through 1630 Monday through Friday except on recognized US holiday. 3.2. Performance time. The training should be completed by 30 November 2003. 4.
