Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) sub part 12.6., as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a proposal is requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) FE20673233014200. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, GA contemplates negotiation on a sole source basis with Struers Inc. 24766 Detroit Road Westlake, OH 44145-1598. This solicitation is for the procurement of TEP35 grinding/polishing machine with variable speed with accessories; a TEFO5 automatic specimen mover for grinding & polishing of specimens either fixed in a specimen holder or single specimens, TED51 dosing unit & database for preparation methods with peristaltic pumps, MAXWI uniforce leveling device without pressure foot, MAXCY Sp. H., 160mm dia., for 6 x 12-40mm dia. for mounted or unmounted specimens, MAXRU Sp. H., 200mm dia., for 3 x 70/1 x 180mm st. for mounted or unmounted specimens, MAXUK, DEMAL, PEDQU, PEDKO, MAXDI, MUGMA, MANPA, MANAX, MANXA, MANEL, MANLE, MADEX, MALEX, SOALL, MEDAC, SODAC, MEMOL, SOM,OL, MECHE AND OPSOT. The quantity is one for each of the manufacture model #. This is a one-time buy. Delivery is between 8:00am and 1:00pm excluding holidays Monday thru Friday. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, A Limited Number of Responsible Sources and No Other supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only these sources. The resulting contract will be Firm Fixed Price. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-07. NAICS is 541511. Assets shall be shipped FOB Destination to Bldg 165, 325 Richard Ray Blvd, Robins AFB GA 31098; The following incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2001-07 and are applicable to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-2 (Evaluation - Commercial Items), (a) price, price related factors, and conformance to specification; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items; Offerors must include (1) a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items, (2) Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code, Contractor Establishment Code (DUNS number), and Tax Identification number; 52.211-15 Defense Priority and Allocation Requirements; 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer -- Central Contractor Registration; 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration. All FAR provisions and clauses may be reviewed and/or obtained from the General Service Internet address http://farsite.hill.af.mil. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses must be submitted no later than September 26, 2003 at 2pm.
