- Description
- This announcement constitutes the fulfillment of Public Law 2319 and is the periodic announcement of a Qualification Requirement, which is available for the manufacture of the F-16 Nitrogen Valve. The Nitrogen Valve is used on the F-16 aircraft Emergency Power Unit (EPU). The valve regulates the 3000 pounds per square inch (psi) nitrogen pressure from a nitrogen bottle down to 400 psi to pressurize a hydrazine fuel tank that provides fuel for EPU operation. Other valve functions include a check valve to prevent reverse nitrogen flow and over-pressurization relief in case of 400 psi regulation failure. Although the F-16 Logistics Operation Division does not have an immediate requirement, this notification is for market research purposes to identify potential contractors who have the skills, experience, and knowledge required to successfully complete this effort for Hill AFB, Utah and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement will be accomplished. This is not a request for proposal or invitation for bid. Interested parties may request a source qualification statement from Kevin Schabacker, 775-2504, Kevin.Schabacker@Hill.af.mil.
