- Description
- Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(1) the Government anticipates entering into sole source procurement negotiations with Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation (MMRF), Dr. Jeremy Holtzman, Co-principal Investigator, 914 South Eighth Street, Minneapolis, MN 55404 to participate under a research study entitled Patient Safety Center of Inquiry Chemotherapy Safety. MMRF/Dr. Holtzman will review the elements of chemotherapy order; categorize the order elements; plan a strategy to measure error in orders; devise scoring systems and other techniques or instruments to measure errors; perform initial testing of the instruments; modify the instruments based upon performance characteristics; validate the instruments; supervise the application of the instruments to actual patient orders to determine the rates and types of errors in patient orders and prepare reports. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government?s minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by September 26, 2003. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available. However, the Government will consider all interests received on or before September 26, 2003. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
