Description

The Coast Guard intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole-source procurement under FAR Part 13 procedures to The San Diego Bay Pilots Association, 1551 Shelter Avenue, San Diego, CA 92106. The Contractor shall provide waterborne transportation services to Sea Marshals located at the Coast Guard Marine Safety Office, San Diego. Services will be to and from water front locations within the San Diego Bay. Specific transportation services will be to locations off shore where the bar pilots typically embark and debark inbound and outbound vessels. The San Diego Bay Pilots are the only know organization that has the capability, knowledge and expertise as well as a stable sea going platform to allow for the safe transition and close aboard maneuvering to a ship?s accommodation ladder. The Bay Pilot's boat is a SWATH design, build with structural standards of a recognized classification society for offshore service, it was arranged and outfitted to meet the requirements of 46CFR(Subchapter T, Small Passenger Vessel Safety regulations). The period of performance is 12 months. This is not a request for proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement. A solicitation document is not available. If no responses are received within seven (7) days with sufficient information to determine that another responsible source is available, negotiations will be conducted with the San Diego Bay Pilots. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. This notice is for informational purposes only, Minority, and Women-owed and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises.
