The immediate need is for the quantification of protein levels including: IL-1, IL-2, Il-3, IL-8, IL-9, TNF-alpha, RANTES IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-10, Il-11, IL-12, LTB4, C1-9, IgM, IgG, IgE, IgA, TGF-beta, MCP-1, MIP-2, T4, free T4, TSH, Protein C, Factor V Leiden, EGF, G-CSF, M-CSF, Interferon-gamma, TGF-alpha, VEGF, Th-1, and TH-2. Source samples include both whole blood spots on filter paper and 1ml aliquots of serum from different research studies. The long-term need is the testing of protein expression and gene analysis for factors associated with maternal-fetal and neonatal disease and disease outcomes. Any organization that can provide reliable and reproducible laboratory services of the type described above are asked to provide the following information in a brief capability statement not to exceed ten (10) typed pages. Sites are asked to provide the following: 1. Methods of processing, analyzing and performing data management;2. Reliability and reproducibility of results; 3. Ability to perform multiple assays on small quantities of sample (i.e. one blood spot or 1.0 ml aliquots); 4. Previous experience providing such services; 5. Examples of previous results (published or unpublished); 6. Processing capability of lab (e.g. number of samples per day or week); 7. Method of verification of results; 8. Commercial price list; 9. Describe experience and capabilities with microanalysis genomic analyses including human gene analysis and DNA micro-array technology; 10. Describe capabilities to include references, past results, and validity of assay claims; and 11. Provide a list of government contracts held. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this contract is 541710. Interested parties should indicate their small business status.
