Description
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has a requirement for contractor assistance in the operation of the Lincoln Place mailroom and Quick Copy Center; moving services, and warehouse services. The contractor shall furnish personnel, equipment and vehicles required to provide inter-building bulk mail pickup and delivery service between the Department of Justice (DOJ) occupied buildings and other addresses in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The acquisition will be conducted as a small business set-aside under NAICS 561431 in accordance with FAR Part 12. The solicitation will be available on or about September 11, 2003 and issued through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website, www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will be available through the DEA's Acquisition home page, located at www.dea.gov. Once there, click on ACQUISITIONS AND CONTRACTS, then OPEN SOLICITATIONS. Potential offerors can read the Executive Summary without registering for the solicitation. However, in order to receive the solicitation, offerors will be required to register. This will be automatically requested of any offeror who attempts to download the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and any amendments. No telephone or facsimile requests will be accepted. The proposed contract will have a period of performance of one-year and four one-year options beginning on or about January 24, 2004. Security background investigations wil be performed on contractor personnel. Proposals will be evaluated and selection made based on technical capability, past performance and price criteria, including the offeror's capability to provide experienced and qualified personnel and the offeror's past experience.See Numbered Note 1.
