- The U.S. Office of Personnel Management's annual Fall Festival of Training will be held at the Bahia Hotel, San Diego, CA, on November 17 - 20, 2003. The Fall Festival of Training will again have a vendor exhibit area on November 18th and 19th. The annual Fall Festival of Training is a major U.S. Office of Personnel Management, Human Captial Leadership initiative. The purpose of the Fall Festival is to offer an array of workshops to help increase the attendees’ knowledge of Federal benefits programs and to improve their counseling skills. The workshops offer an intensive, high-energy learning experience on selected topics. In the past approximately a fourth of the attendees were Federal agency headquarters level staff who are responsible for administering the benefits program within their agencies. The other attendees were field staff with benefits administration responsibilities at the field level. Last year, approximately 250 agency representatives attended the Fall Festival. We expect that number of attendees at this year's event will be approximately 300. Exhibitors’ Information: Ten exhibit spaces are available. Exhibit spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Registration must be received by October 17, 2003. The exhibit area will be in public areas of the hotel. Exhibitors may set up beginning at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, November 18th. Exhibits must be removed by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 19th. Workshop sessions begin at 8:30AM each day and will end at 4:00PM. To further encourage workshop participates to come by your booth, Wednesday morning’s continental breakfast (beginning at 7:30am) will be served in the exhibit area. The exhibit booths will be 8' by 10' with pipe and drapes and will include an electrical outlet, one table and 2 chairs. The cost of an exhibit booth is $895. VCR with 25-inch monitor is available for an extra charge of $125 per day. A phone line (local and long distance line) is available for an extra charge of $75 per line, per day (cost of calls included). Exhibitors will rent the space directly from the Bahia Hotel. However, the rental application and checks will come to the Office of Personnel Management. Checks must be made payable to the Bahia Hotel. Participation in the exhibit area does not mean that the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in any way endorses or approves the vendor or its products or services. Exhibitors may not represent in any way that their participation at the Fall Festival of Training represents any endorsement or approval by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
