- The Department of Interior, Minerals Management Service intends to make a firm-fixed-price (FFP) sole source award to Unique Digital, Inc. This non-competitive action is for the acquisition of a 6 TB Storage Area Network (SAN) Disk Farm and Server Integration consisting of LSI E4600 Command Modules and 180 GB Driver Canisters with associated rack mounts, cables and rails. SANtricity 8.00 and SANshare 4 software, onsite maintenance, installation, training and consulting will be included in the award. These items will be part of the NAS/SAN (Network Attached Storage/Storage Area Networks) architecture in MMS Gulf of Mexico regional office. The equipment will be used to store and retrieve Geoframe Project Data, Velocity Data, Well Log Data, and SEGY Data. Unique Digital, Inc. has demonstrated their expertise in integration of LSI Storage to existing SANS and the support of loading SEGY Seismic Data has passed all tests and criteria. This action is being processed in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source, and solicited in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The U.S. Department of Interior MMS requests award of a non-competitive procurement. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities by September 12, 2003. This date will not be extended. All expressions of interest shall e-mailed to Mathew.ridolfi@mms.gov to be considered by the Government. Phone calls will neither be accepted nor acknowledged. This is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all information received will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
