- Description
- The Audiovisual Program Development Branch (APDB) under the National Library of Medicine (NLM) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Avid Technologies, 1101 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suite 600, Washington D.C. to provide on-site installation services for the upgrade from an existing Avid DS|HD system to a DS NITRIS system. This upgrade will allow APDB to the process two streams of HD video simultaneously and thereby work more efficiently with upcoming high definition (HD) video projects. This upgrade is only available from the manufacturer (AVID Technologies) as they do not utilize a dealer network. This service will be procured under FAR Part 12 (Commercial Items.) This is not a Request for Quotations (RFQ), nor is an RFQ available; however, all responsible and responsive sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the NLM. Firms interested in responding to this notice must be able to provide the professional technical services as specified above. Responses should demonstrate the firm?s ability to meet the government?s requirements. Responses are required within 7 (seven) calendar days from the publication date of this notice. NLM synopsis No. 03-233/KS shall be noted on all correspondence to this announcement.
