Description

Geological Survey (USGS), requests quotes for a fully found vessel, qualified/certified operating personnel, facilities, fuel, oil, food, and support equipment as specified, to deploy surface buoys w/bottom tripod frames, and conduct sampling operations in the near shore area of Northern South Carolina, off Little River Inlet. Work will be conducted in waters as shallow as 5 meters. This cruise will incorporate (three) separate dates of operations in October, January, and April, consisting of mobilization and deployment of instrumentation in October, mobilization and turn-around of equipment in January, and recovery of all instrumentation/ancillary equipment in April. Dockside crane services and forklift capabilities shall be provided and arranged for by the contractor and shall be included in the bid price as a separate line item. Ships personnel shall be required to assist USGS personnel in the mobilization/demobilization of the vessel for all three legs of the operation.
