- Description
- Work under this project consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, material and incidentals necessary for the removal and proper disposal of non-hazardous solid waste from Six (6) locations within Caddo County, Oklahoma. Contractor shall excavate and remove the solid waste and shape the disturbed area upon completion with side slopes not greater than 5:1. The non-hazardous solid waste shall be loaded into solid waste containiers and hauled to disposal sites that are permitted by State or Federal authorities for such waste. All work will be done in compliance with Contract Clauses, Scope of Work, Labor Standar Provisions applicable to contracts in excess of $2000.00s, The estimated cost for this construction project is between $5,000-$30,000. Parties interested in submitting a bid may request a bid packet, after the date of August 27, 2003 in writing from the Contracting Officer, Bureau of Indian Affairs,Attn: PHYLLIS PACK, Southern Plains Regional Office, P.O. Box 368, Anadarko, OK 73005, (405)247-1572 or Fax (405) 247-9922.. The Bid Opening will be held on Monday, September 8, 2003, 3:30 p.m., in the Branch of Contracts, Southern Plains Regional Office, Anadarko, OK. Section 7(b) of the Public Law 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450E) and 41 CFR 14-1.354 requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaskan individuals and that preference in the award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaskan economic enterprises. Failure by the contractor to submit a plan for doing so prior to award and implement same after award shall be sufficient reason for non-award or termination of the contracts for default.
