Description

NA This is an amendment to Presolicitation Notice DAAB07-03-R-C240. This notice includes all of the information that was included in the original posting, dated 11 August 2003, in addition to information that was inadvertently omitted. The Government intend s to award a sole source, six (6) month, Firm Fixed Price contract for one (1) Ultra Lightweight Camouflage Net System (ULCANS) Prototype for the AN/TPQ-37 (Firefinder) Radar System. The contract will be issued to SAAB Barracuda LLC, Lillington, North Car olina on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. SAAB Barracuda LLC is the only source to have produced and passed First Article Testing (FAT) for ULCANS, and can therefore provide the prototype and documentation within the required timeframe. The contractor shall provide an ULCANS replacement Type III, Class 1 (Woodland) Type IV Class 1 (Woodland) pattern to replace the current LCSS camouflage, which by Congressional mandate, is no longer procurable, and is technically inferior to ULCANS. The kit shall be comprised of all hardware, netting, and installation instructions that shall be identified in the configuration control and logistics documen tation. Additionally, the contractor shall prepare and/or revise drawings and associated parts lists for both ULCANS Firefinder Woodland and Desert camouflage versions. Additional information will be available through the Army Single Face to Industry (AS FI), Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) at http://abop.monmouth.army.mil, once the solicitation is posted. All responsible sources interested in participating in this procurement may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. See Numbered Note 26.
