- A solicitation for Laundry Services for a one-year base period plus one option at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, and the Marine Corps Air Station Cannon Facility, which is located approximately ten (10) miles from the Base. Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, transportation for pick-up and delivery services, supplies, vehicles, tools and equipment to provide a contractor owned-contractor operated (COCO) facility and service. Laundry services include the laundering, drying, folding and ironing of government provided and contractor provided items such as, but not limited to; sleeping bags, patient gowns, surgical wraps, towels, watch caps, wool blankets, mattress pads and covers, mats and dust mops to specific locations on specific days of the week. Contractor must accomplish all work in accordance with industry standards, Center for Disease Control (CDC) g uidelines, any existing Federal regulations and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO) regulations. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 812332. The requirement will be issued on an unrestricted basis. The procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 12 and 13. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27 and DAC 97-13. A single award will result from the solicitation. It is anticipated the solicitation will be posted 4 Sept 2003. The closing date of the solicitation is anticipated to be 17 September 2003 with a contract start date of 1 Oct 2003. The Government will award a contract to the responsible quoter whose quote is most advantageous to the Government, best value considering price and past performance. Vendors wishin g to respond to the posted solicitation, anticipated 3 Sept 2003, can fax their request to (928) 269-2287 to obtain a copy of the solicitation or call (928) 269-2470. Offers can be sent via United States Postal Service to: Commanding Officer, Installation & Logistics Department, Contracts, 3KG, Box 99133, Yuma, AZ, 85369-9133 ATTN: Lydia Rowland. Facsimile quotes are subject to the same rules as paper quotes. The telephone number for receiving facsimiles is (928) 269-2287. The complete original quote shall be submitted if requested by the contracting officer. Quoters bear the burden of ensuring that quotes (and any authorized modifications) reach the designated office on time and should allow a reasonable time for facsimile transmissions to be completed . All pages of the quote must reach the office before the deadline specified in this solicitation. Pages of a facsimile transmission that arrive in the office after the specified deadline will not be considered. The quoter bears the risk of non-receipt of facsimile transmissions and should confirm by telephone that any facsimile was received. Any facsimile transmission must clearly state the solicitation number and the name of the contracting officer on the first page to ensure proper receipt. All interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to receive an award. The Government reserves the right to make award solely on the quote.
