Description
NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are be ing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal number is DABK41-03-R-0206 and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-15 (25 August 2003) and Defense Federal Acqui sition Regulation Supplement (DFARs), 1998 edition, current to DCN 20030821. It is issued as a Brand Name or Equal in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.211-6 (Aug 1999) and is anticipated that payment of the contract, resulting fr om this solicitation, will be made via government VISA credit card. Offerors shall account for any costs associated with accepting credit card payment in their proposal. The proposal is for the purchase of Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN) 0001 Kenworth Mo del T800-B Conventional Cab Truck Tractor (heavy hauler) with a 47 inch set back front axle; CLIN 0002 a 2004 Aspen Model HG-60, 60 ton tri-axle lowboy trailer and CLIN 0003 a Doonan 48 foot, 40 ton, 3 axle commercial step deck 5th wheel trailer. Performa nce specification for the truck tractor and the 48 foot trailer and both performance and technical specifications for the 60 ton trailer are available on the US Army Contracting Agency Yuma Directorate website www.yuma.army.mil/contracting/rfp.html. Contra ctors may provide a used 48 foot trailer but it must conform to the following: 1) may be no older than 1996, 2) must have been inspected and reconditioned to factory standards. Units musts be available for pickup within 45 days after award of contract. W ritten proposals will be required of offerors participating in this solicitation. Proposals must include all the technical and performance specifications regarding the proposed equipment. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 5012 and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 421110 with a size standard of 100 employees. All prospective offerors must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision applies to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (Oct 2000). NOTE: In order to complete the Representation an d Certifications for the following referenced provisions you must go to the Air Force Web Site at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/Vffar1.htm, locate the reference clause, copy and paste it to a Word document and complete. FAR provision 52.212-3 Offeror Represe ntations and Certifications-Commercial Items (June 2003) Alternate I (Apr 2002) and DFARs 252.212-7000 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (Nov 1995) apply to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (Feb 2002) and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to Implement Statues or Executive Order-Commercial Items (April 2003) apply to this acquisition. All offers shall be submitted to the U.S. Army Contrac ting Agency (ACA) Southern Region, Yuma Directorate, Attn: Mrs. Cynthia A. Ford, 301 C. Street/B2100 (SFCA-SR-YM), Yuma, Arizona 85365. Offers may also be submitted via facsimile to 928-328-6849 or by e-mail to cyndi.ford@yuma.army.mil. E-mail submission is preferred. All proposals must be received no later than 1:00 P.M. MST, 10 September 2003. As a minimum offerors shall include with their quote the following information (1) RFP number, (2) company name and address, (3) point of contact with telephone number and facsimile number, (4) a completed copy of FAR representations and certifications, and (5) a statement indicating that Government VISA credit card will be accepted as the method of payment. Offerors that fail to furnish required representation, or reject the terms and conditions of this solicitation may be excluded form consideration.
