Description

The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, and materials to support the commercial flooring requirements, exclusive of residential flooring, for Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho facilities. The materials and services to be provided by the contractor shall be of the best available quality as outlined in the solicitation and statement of work. Materials and labor to be provided include, but are not limited to, carpet, tile, sheet vinyl, cove base, wood base, installation and removal of listed materials, floor repair, and trimming of provided doors. This solicitation shall result in a firm-fixed priced requirements type contract that shall consist of a base year and four one-year options. The government anticipates recurring requirements but cannot predetermine the precise quantities that designated government activities will need during a definite period. The government intends to fill all actual purchase requirements for supplies and/or services by placing orders with the contractor within the scope of the contract. Because the government may encounter unforeseen conditions under old flooring, additional supplies and/or services may be added to the contract. Such additions shall be added by bilateral modifications. If potential contractors submitted proposals for solicitation F10603-03-R-0003 which was cancelled, new and complete proposals must be submitted for this solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 442210. The government intends to set-aside this requirement for small business and is waiting for a ruling from the Small Business Association. A modification to this synopsis shall be posted at a later date stating the set-aside status. Solicitation documents will be made available on or about 15 September 2003.
