Description
This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation number is RFQ 246-03-00423. The NAICS is 811211 and the small business size standards are $6.0 million. The procurement is 100% set-aside for small businesses. Contract period shall commence from date of award through September 30, 2004. The W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center, Salisbury, NC has an immediate need for a contractor to provide all labor, travel, materials, tools, equipment and software to perform preventive maintenance on our VERTEX PLUS ID# E7805VM Atlas Acquisition IVY Gate 8.0KVA UPS Codonics Printer and PEGASYS Ultra ID# E7805VM1. SOFTWARE UPGRADES: All manufacturer's software and engineering upgrades issued during the contract period are provided free of charge. The service program includes semi-annual preventive maintenance and all service emergency calls for the length of the contract, excluding federal holidays. Preventive maintenance and all service emergency calls shall be provided when requested by the Government (VA) for the purpose of making necessary repairs and adjustments to maintain the VERTEX PLUS equipment. Preventive Maintenance (PM) service shall be performed by a factory trained service representative or service technician. These service individuals must be factory trained on all items listed in the equipment schedule. Documentation shall be provided to the Contracting Officer with the quotation certifying that the service representative or service technician has been trained and certified in the performance of the work by the equipment manufacturer. All PM service shall be performed during normal VA working hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (deviations must be approved in advance.) Quotations shall be valid 60 days from offer due date. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award without discussions. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions later if determined necessary by the Contracting Officer. A purchase order will be issued to the successful offeror. Quotations must be received by September 28, 2003 4:00 pm local time. Quotations shall be submitted to the address listed herein or faxed to (704) 638-3495 and directed to the attention of Colette L. Miller. Solicitation Number RFQ 246-03-00423 shall be listed on the outside of responses for identification purposes.
