Description
Under authority of U.S.C. 253©(1), FAR 6.302-1, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, Maryland intends to procure from Universal Hi-Tech Develop Inc., 20 West Gude Dr., #100, Rockville, MD 20850, for a Leica Optical Stand with lenses and DIC accessories and TCS RS Spectral Confocal Microscope. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334516, and the business size is 500 employees. This system shall include, but not be limited to, and meet or exceed the following performance characteristics, features, and pertain to the following components: (1) shall be able to visualize protein expression in fixed tissues; (2) shall be complete system with integrated microscope, scan optics, detectors and electronics; (3) shall have a guaranteed resolution of 180 nm in XY and 350 nm in XZ; (4) shall include a high-resolution Z stage with 40 nm resolution in xyz and < 1 nm resolution in xz which allows for X, Z can imaging; (5) shall have digital resolution of 4096 x 4096; (6) shall be able to image up to four stained specimens simultaneously and includes red (HeHe 633 nm), green (HeNe 543 nm) and blue (Ar 458 nm, 476 nm 488 nm and 514 nm) lasers; (7) shall be able to visualize protein expressions during in vitro slice preparation electrophysiology experiments; (8) be able to scan 7.2 frames/s (512 x 512); (9) shall be able to be upgraded for multi-photon use. Concerns that respond to this synopsis shall furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirements mentioned above and are invited to submit capability statements in an ORIGINAL PLUS TWO (2) no later than fifteen (15) business days from the date of this announcement. Written responses shall include complete description of the equipment to be provided, containing sufficient technical information to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the stated requirements as listed above.
