Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with CPP, Inc. of Palo Alto, California for assessment tool kits including the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Strong Interest Inventory, Spectrum-California Psychological Inventory (CPI) 260, CPI, Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation- Behavior (FIRO-B), and SkillsOne assessment materials. ***Sole Source determination is based on the need for the assessment tool kit to contain the Meyers-Briggs Type Inventory and Strong Interest Inventory. CPP is the sole publisher and supplier of the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest Inventory, Spectrum CPI 260, CPI, FIRO-B, and SkillsOne assessment materials. ***Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD, and is required within 60 days after receipt of order. ***The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 511130, and the size standard is 500 employees. ***No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by August 31, 2003. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
