Description

The purpose of this amended notice is to increase the QTY cited on synopsis modification posted 14AUG03. The quantity is returned to the original quantity required on the 15MAY03 synopsis, increasing it by 87; FROM: 141 TO: 228. NOUN:Rear Fan Duct; NSN:2840-01-387-2657NZ; P/N:4084856; QTY:228; U/I: Each; DELIVERY: JUN2004 to Tinker AFB,OK; APPLICABLE TO: F100PW220/220E engine; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: 3.5 inches nominal overall length X 35 inches nominal in diameter; PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: Steel; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: Compressor duct housing. Anticipated solicitation issue date: 2JUN03. Anticipated award date: 30JUL03. It is not anticipated that a paper solicitation will be issued. The solicitation will be electronically posted. No telephone solicitation requests will be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. The solicitation will provide further information for qualification. Government-Furnished drawings are not available. TO: Pratt and Whitney, East Hartford, CT. Note D, the requirements of FAR 9.202(a) have been completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards may be obtained as described in the solicitation. NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program manager or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
