Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex proposes to contract for air circulation heater systems IAW with NNSY specifications. The air circulation heater system shall be comprised of an air circulation heater with one two and one-half inch inlet side connection and one two and one-half inch outlet connection with heater and control panel securely attached to frame supports mounted vertically on a forkliftable/ craneliftable skid, pre-wired, and delivered completely assembled and ready for use. The circulation heater shall be equipped with an SCR controller with digital display in a NEMA 4 steel enclosure. The frame supports shall be constructed of steel around the circulation heater which is mounted vertically on a skid with two forklift channels and the frame shall be equipped with lifting pads on the top of the frame to accommodate a four point lift. The lifting pads shall be NDT inspected with Magnetic Particle Testing IAW MIL-STD-271. All welding procedures shall be IAW AWS D1.1 and certification that welders and welding operators are qualified by AWS D1.1. The units shall be primed and painted with an epoxy coating per MIL-P-23236. The government intends to purchase 3 units with option provision for additional 3 units in accordance with the provisions set forth in the contract. The units are for delivery FOB Destination to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000. Response date for submission of offers will be established in the written solicitation. This requirement is being handled utilizing SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES as set forth in FAR PART 13. IMPORTANT NOTICE: DFAR 252.204-7004 REQUIRED CENTRAL REGISTRATION (CCR) applies. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information regarding CCR may be found at www.ccr.gov.
