Description

The Department of Treasury, Departmental Offices has a need of caf? services located at 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. Washington, DC. Anticipated start date is October 1, 2003. The Contractor shall provide all supplies and services necessary for the management of a food service operation. The Government will furnish some equipment and utilities. The contractor must also provide and operate vending machines for after hours operation as well as provide catering services. Hours of operation shall be from 7:00 am to 4:00 PM. The food service operation shall be at no cost to Treasury for the purpose of providing a high quality, customer friendly, clean and safe food service environment to all Treasury employees and their guests. The competitive range will consist of past performance rating to include reputation and experience, resources, menu, controls, sanitation and preventive maintenance, price and portion policies and budget control. The contract period shall consist of a base period plus four options years. All interested parties are invited to attend a pre-solicitation conference. Access to the facility may be obtained for inspection purposes by contacting Ms. Cindy Gooch, CMP, Office of Special Events, by telephone (202) 622-2071 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Clearance information must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance and must include Name, Social Security Number and Date of Birth . A photo ID that is able to meet a Federal building clearance will be required for entry. The date set for pre-proposal conference and site inspection is Tuesday, August 19th, at 9:00 a.m. Site visits have been extended until August 22. Final solicitation will be available on or after August 25, and will be distributed through Federal Business Opportunities.
