Description
THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS-AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. ****The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) 721110 code for this procurement. This acquisition is unrestricted and all responsible Parties may submit a quote. ****The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), has a requirement for conference services on March 9-11, 2004. HOTEL MUST BE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF A METRO STOP IN THE WASHINGTON D.C. METROPLITAN AREA. The Contractor shall provide 25 sleeping rooms at rate within per diem for arrival on March 8, 2004 departing on March 11, 2004. The Contractor shall provide a classroom style for 150 people on March 8, 2004 through March 11, 2004 from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm each of the required days. The Contractor shall provide continuous coffee break service on March 9-11, 2004 for 150 people to consist of coffee, tea, decaffeinated , assorted breakfast breads, fruit, and juices at 8:00 am. Mid-morning coffee break on March 9-11 at 10:00 am refresh coffee, tea and decaffeinated. Afternoon coffee break at 3:00 pm to consist of coffee, tea, decaffeinated , assorted sodas, water, and cookies. Buffet luncheon on March 9-11 in separate room for 150 people set banquet style. One breakout meeting room set classroom style for 75 people on March 9_11from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm . The Contractor shall provide audio-visual equipment in the general session room on March 9_11 to consist of overhead projector, screen, one wireless lavalier microphone, one wireless handheld microphone, three table top microphones, podium, sound mixer, internet connection, projection stand, and five sign easels. Audio-visual equipment in the breakout room on March 9_11 to consist of overhead projector, screen, and one lavalier microphone. Quotes will be evaluated on the following: Factor A) Technical Factors - (Ability to provide function space, location and ability to provide required food services, and audio visual equipment) - Factor B) Price. Technical factors are slightly more important than price. Offerors are advised to retrieve and read all applicable clauses and provisions relative to this acquisition. Quotations are due no later than 3:00 pm on August 20, 2003. It is the responsibility of the offeror to make sure delivery is made on time. Any questions pertaining to this requirement must be submitted within (3) days of this posting.
