Description
NA The US ARMY TACOM is conducting market research to identify potential automated capabilities and sources for managing selected logistics functions, specifically operational readiness of Army Tactical Vehicles, at Ft. Knox, an army training site in Kentucky . In order to assess these capabilities, TACOM is requesting interested firms to provide a demonstration of their COTS software products as they relate to the following key areas. The demonstration must show capabilities that include, but are not limite d to: (1) must be able to see readiness vs operational readiness vs training requirements, (2) report in graphical format a comparison between the goal of 90% readiness with the percentage of those vehicles that are actually operationally ready, and whethe r training was met, (3) report event date, time, and type of equipment required by event or by fleet; (4) identify/be able to identify and provide specific detail on fleet vehicles to find out exactly why they do not meet readiness standards; (5) capture c ost of equipment per training event or by fleet, in a graphical format; (6) identify/be able specifically detail why training requirements were not met, (7) it is desired, but not required, to be able to schedule the regularly scheduled maintenance, and th e actual training schedule to help identify when classes will take place and what equipment is or is not available. The Directorate of Contracting, US Army TACOM, will issue no cost Demonstration Agreements (the Agreement) to firms interested in participa ting in this demonstration. Additionally, a complete information package, containing all relevant data necessary to perform the demonstration, will be provided to any firm expressing an interest in participating in this demonstration. It is requested tha t all interested parties furnish the contract specialist with their notice of intent to participate in the demonstration no later than 29 Aug 03. This market research/demonstration is for planning purposes only and is NOT to be construed as a commitment b y the Government, nor will the Government pay for information solicited hereunder. Demonstrations are to be prepared and performed within 30 days of this notice. At this time, no solicitation exists. Submit all responses to this notice to the point of c ontact listed below.
