Description

Note 22 applies. The Federal Highway Administratiion, Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division (EFLHD), intends to enter into a contract with Pavement Technology, Inc., manufacturer of the Laboratory Automatic Gradation Unit (AGU). This AGU is compatible with existing equipment that is being used in EFLHD's Central Laboratory. Pavement Technology has developed a new automated process which consists of a particle size analyzer that conducts a complete sieve analysis automatically and transmits the accumulated data to a computer. The AGU allows a user to automate the entire sieve analysis process and incorporate electronic data transfer. The estimated value of this acquisition is $46,000. Exception to Note 22: the Government will consider proposals received within 10 days after the date of publication of this synopsis.
