Description
Community Connections - The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA) is soliciting proposals for a national initiative to strengthen, coordinate, and facilitate the understanding, implementation, and integration of employment and training public policy, including new legislation, throughout the Job Corps system. Tasks to be accomplished by the contractor shall include: Reviewing and analyzing proposed and new legislation, the Department of Labor?s strategic plan, the Department?s Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) goals, the Office of Job Corps initiatives, and applicable policies and regulations to construct framework for developing and enhancing a comprehensive program aimed at assisting the Job Corps system in understanding new national and programmatic initiatives, Departmental priorities, Congressional emphases, and mandated legislative changes that impact connections with communities. The period of performance for the prospective award will be twelve (12) months, from the date of contract execution, plus four 1-year options to extend at the government?s discretion. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541611 and the Size Standard is $6 million. Requests For Proposals will be available on our Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration?s Internet Home Page at http://www.doleta.gov, approximately 15 days from the date of publication. Requests For Proposals in hard copy form will also be available upon written request, only on a first come, first-served basis, until the supply is exhausted. Requests must cite RFP-DCS-03-41 and must include two self-addressed labels. Failure to enclose labels may cause a delay in receipt of the solicitation. Telephone requests will not be honored. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The fee will not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the solicitation documents. The proposal due date will be October 1, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. local time. Proposals are to be sent and/or hand delivered to the above address to the attention of Dayle White. Faxed bids will not be accepted. No collect calls will be accepted. It is the sole responsibility of the offeror to continually view the website for any amendments made to this solicitation.
