- Description
- The U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will be seeking proposals to provide technical and program support in the areas of: Highway Safety; industry/public outreach and feedback; and education and training support. Specific examples of technical and program support that might be provided under the resulting contract(s)include: special studies, research and guidelines, policy and regulatory analysis, status reports and case studies,analysis of program delivery approaches, market research,information packaging and dissemination support. The project will support symposiums, seminars, focus groups,and conferences. Other areas of support include comprehensive curricula identification and course development and delivery. The FULL AND OPEN Request for Proposals (RFP) will be published on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) at HTTP://WWW.EPS.GOV. THERE IS NO INCUMBENT CONTRACTOR. The FHWA anticipates award of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract with Task Orders to more than one Offeror. The FHWA may allocate the awards according to the lettered Tasks of the RFP’s Statement of Work (SOW). It is possible that Offeror(s) might receive an award based on particular lettered tasks SOW or the entire SOW. Since the ENTIRE RFP will be published on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) at HTTP://WWW.EPS.GOV, all prospective Offerors are instructed to obtain the RFP from this source. The FHWA does not plan to issue any HARD copies of the RFP to any prospective Offeror. Prospective Offerors are instructed not to send letters, faxes or e-mails requesting the RFP. Telephoned, e-mailed and faxed requests for the RFP will not be accepted. Any subsequent amendments to the RFP will likewise be published on the EPS at the Internet address referenced above. The U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration does not plan to mail out copies of any such amendments. It shall be the responsibility of each prospective Offeror to closely and frequently monitor the EPS for any possible amendments. It is currently estimated that the RFP will be posted on the EPS by March 19, 2003. The RFP will state the actual deadline for the submission of competing proposals.
