- NA This proposed procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The Government intends to procure through Simplified Acquisition Method (commercial items). SIC Code 2819, NAICS 325188; small business size standard 1,000 employees. Furnish approximately 1,300 tons of hydrofluosilicic acid to Dalecarlia Water Treatment Plant, Washington Aqueduct Division. The acid shall be certified as suitable for contact with or treatment of drinking water by an accredited certification organization in accordance with ANSI/NSF Standard 60 ?????? Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals ?????? Health Effects. The product shall be approved and in accordance with AWWA B703-00 specification. The acid shall contain maximum 1% hydrolfluoric acid (HF); shall contain 23-25% hydrofl uosilicic acid (H2SiF6); and shall not contain more than 0.020% heavy metals expressed as lead. Contract is for a one year period from 1 October 2003 through 30 September 2004. The total estimated amount is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. All respo nsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitatio n will be the internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. Contractors may view and/or download solicitation information from the Internet at http://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. Contractors?????? requests for this solicitation will be perform ed through ASFI. Contractors may register to be placed on the Bidders/Offerors mailing lists by going to the website: http://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. In order to reduce the possibility of error and to increase the quality of our service to you, all delive ries, packages, etc. must include the name of the particular contract specialist for the particular project. All deliveries, packages, etc. of more than one box or container must be bound together by tape or other means. In order to comply with Debt Coll ection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract. Other information regarding registration can be obtained through CCR Assistance Center (CCRAC) at 1-888-227-2423. It is imperative that all sm all disadvantaged businesses contact their cognizant Small Business Administration Office to obtain Small Disadvantaged Business Certification. Without SBA SDB certification, a prime contractor nor a federal agency can receive SDB credit when utilizing no n-certified SDB contractors/ subcontractors.
