- Amendment No. A001 is issued to EMV-2003-RQ-0042 in order to provide questions received and Government answers to said questions. QUESTION: What is the output power requirement for the Anacom Ku Transceiver and is an LNC aceptable in lieu of an LNA? ANSWER: 50 watts minimum output. An LNC is acceptable as long as it will meet Intel Sat specifications for temperature. QUESTION: Please define a KU band disconnect. ANSWER: This refers to the KU band waveguide quick disconnect assembly. QUESTION: The 2 EA SDM300A modems imply a particular manufacturer. Can you please verify that a particular manufacturer's product is required or are substitute manufacturers of technically equivalent and/or superior equipment acceptable? ANSWER: EF Data 300 A modems is required - no "or equal" product will be accepted. QUESTION: Please provide information relating to modem options required. ANSWER: Data rate is 1.544 (T-1). The Government does not need Viterbi, Reed Solomon, or Turbo Codec. QUESTION: Should the quote include a ballast as a required deliverable? ANSWER: There is no requirement for a ballast. The date of 8/12/03 for receipt of responses remains unchanged.
