Description

This project was announced on July 16, 2003 as a Request For Quotation (Q6115030027) changed to an Invitation for Bids (I6115030027). Installation of conduits and fiber optic lines connecting most of the buildings at Fort Scott National Historic Site. The work includes trenching, bedding material, and installation as per plans and specifications. Estimated cost range: $25,000-$100,000. NAICS Code: 235310. This is a "full and open" competition award which will be made in accordance with Public Law 100-565, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This project is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation For Bids (IFB). The IFB with attachments will be issued electronically on the website http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about August 5, 2003. Prospective offerors must register at this website to download the solicitation. Check periodically the website for amendments in the solicitation. If the solicitation is not found, please contact Linda Zumpfe, Contracting Officer at 402-437-5392 ext. 103. No hard copies of the IFB and attachments will be mailed or issued. A pre-bid site visit will be conducted at Fort Scott National Historic Site on August 7, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Attendance is highly recommended. If you can not attend on this date contact Jack Messer at 620-223-0310 to arrange for a site visit.
