NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation wil l be issued as a Request for Quotation and shall be designated Solicitation Number DACW61-03-T-0085. The solicitation is expected to be available for viewing and downloading by potential contractors on or about 31-JULY-2003 at the following website: https ://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil. Solicitation documents will only be furnished on the website; hard copies will NOT be available. Any prospective bidder interested in bidding on this Solicitation must register to be placed on the plan-holders list. If you are not registered, the United States Government will not be responsible for providing you with notifications of any changes to this Solicitation. CLOSING DATE: Prospective contractors must submit a responsive proposal, together with a completed form of the Offeror Representations and Certification??????Commercial Items as set forth in FAR 52.212-3, not later than Wednesday 06 August 2003 at 1600 hours (EDST). Proposals may be submitted via U.S. mail to the attention of Maureen Jordan at the address indicated in Block 9 on the SF 1449. INTENT: It is the intention of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, to solicit proposals from potential Contractors to purchase an Alfa-Laval MAB 104B-20 Fuel Oil Purifier and one Mawa System for an Alfa-Laval Fuel Oil Purifier. These items shall be provided by an OEM (Orig inal Equipment Manufacturer), which is Alfa-Laval, and/or provided by an authorized Alfa-Laval Dealer or Manufacturer. Aftermarket parts not considered OEM shall be rejected and returned at the contractors expense. These items are to be used aboard the A rmy Corps of Engineers Dredge McFARLAND. EVALUATION FACTORS: The Government intends to award a firm fixed priced order (contract) from the solicitation to the responsi ble prospective Contractor whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. Applicable FAR Provisions: The following Federal Acquisition Regulation provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instruc tions to Offerors; 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items; 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items; 52 .247-34 F.O.B. Destination; 52.222-35 Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; and 52.222-37 Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era. In addition, as required by DFAR 252.204-7004, prospecti ve contractors must be listed in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for award. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 333999 and the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 3569, with a size standard of 500 employees. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000 are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans.
