- NA This proposed procurement is unrestricted. The Government intends to procure through Simplified Acquisition Method (commercial items). SIC Code 2819, NAICS 325188; small business size standard 1,000 employees. Supply approximately 2,050 tons of liquid chlorine to the Dalecarlia and McMillan Water Treatment Plants. This product shall be certified as suitable for contact with or treatment of drinking water in accordance with the American National Standards Institutes (ANSI)/National Sanitation Foundation ??????s (NSF??????s) Standard No. 60 for Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals-Health Effects. The liquid chlorine supplied shall be not less than 99.5% pure by volume as determined by analyzing the chlorine as set forth in the current AWWA B301-99 standard. Contract is for a one year period from 1 October 2003 through 30 September 2004. The total estimated amount is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be consid-ered by the agency. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. Contractors ma y view and/or download solicitation information from the Internet at http://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. Contractors?????? requests for this solicitation will be performed through ASFI. Contractors may register to be placed on the Bidders/Offerors mailing list s by going to the website: http://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. In order to reduce the possibility of error and to increase the quality of our service to you, all deliveries, packages, etc. must include the name of the particular contract specialist for the par ticular project. All deliveries, packages, etc. of more than one box or container must be bound together by tape or other means. In order to comply with Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract. For information regarding future registration, contact CCR Web site at http:/ccr.gov . Other information regarding registration can be obtained through CCR Assistance Center (CCRAC) at 1-888-227-2423. It is imperative that all small disadvantaged businesses contact their cognizant Small Business Administration Office to obtain Small Disadvantaged Business Certification.
