Description
The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) for the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with CTI Cyclotron Systems Inc., 810 Innovation Drive, Knoxville, Tennessee 37932, to purchase an on-site full service and preventive maintenance agreement, plan number 1908, for the period of twelve (12) months for the RDS111 Cyclotron System, Serial number 1003-DV3 located at 5500 Nathan Shock Drive, Baltimore, Maryland 21224. The system monitors two (2) RDS111 F-18, RDS111 O-15, RDS111-C-11 Targets, the RDS111 Chemical Process Control Unit, RDS111 Water Module and RDS111 Dual Beam Port. The service response time must be no more than ? hour by telephone and 4 hours on site. The maintenance service must be performed and supported by trained experts and Certified engineers from CTI Cyclotron. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219, Size Standard $6.0 Million is applicable to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurement. Responses to this announcement, referencing synopsis number NHLBI-PS-2003-105, may be submitted to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, Contracts Operations Branch, Procurement Section, Building RKL2, Suite 6042, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, MD 20892-7902, Attention Ms. Cecilia Morales, Purchasing Agent. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency.
