Description
MODIFICATION: This is a modification to synopsis N61331-03-R-0060 which was published on or about 16 Jul 03. The change is as follows; the quantity is increased to be one hundred-twenty-five (125) each MC-5 parachute systems. The Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida intends to issue a sole source contract to Para-Flite Incorporated for the procurement of one hundred-twenty-five (125) MC-5 Parachute Systems. The MC-5 parachute systems are only available from Para-Flite Incorporated by direction of the Marine Corp Systems Command (MARCORPSYSCOM). The MC-5 Parachute System form a highly specialized airborne delivery system which has undergone extensive testing and qualification under the MARCORPSYSCOM Diving/Parachuting Authority. Each part has been tested to perform to rigid requirements for power consumption, power output, range, depth, altitude, etc. Only those articles which have been successfully tested are qualified. The objective of this process is to verify that the system provides acceptable levels of safety and mission critical support throughout the system specific operating range. The intent of the process is to provide maximum reasonable assurance that the mission can be completed and an accident will not occur. NAICS Code 314999 Applies. SBA Size Standard is 500 Employees. CSS plans on releasing the solicitation electronically. Solicitation will be available for download on or about 15 Aug 03. Solicitations and any Amendments may be downloaded from http://www.ncsc.navy.mil/Contracts/ZTables/soltab.htm. No Solicitations or Amendments will be mailed to offerors. Therefore, it's incumbent upon the potential offeror to be cognitive of the CSS Internet for all releases.
