Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into fully competitive negotiations with qualified sources of supply. The NAWCADLKE intends to procure four (4) Hydraulic Jacks, P/N 59J6185, to be used on the V-22 aircraft. The jack is a portable, self-contained, hydraulically operated, tripod type jack. The jack consists of three (3) principle assemblies: (1) a hydraulic lift unit incorporating a ram and extension screw; (2) a tubular steel tripod structure; and (3) a hydraulic pump unit which is mounted on one leg of the tripod. The tripod structure is adjustable to various heights (by means of five (5) sets of leg extensions) ranging from a basic height of 52 inches to a maximum lift height of 197 inches. The leg extensions are quickly attached or detached by bolts and nuts for changes in height. The pump unit, which is connected to the lift by a flexible hose, is quickly removable from the tripod structure by a U-Bolt clamp assemble, A rise indicator attached to the lift unit indicates the distance the load has been lifted, and is helpful in keeping the load balanced when two (2) or more jacks are used to lift a single load. Mobility, swivel castered foot assemblies are provided at the bottom of each leg assembly of the tripod structure to facilitate moving and positioning of the jack assembly. Incorporated in the casters is a spring-loaded yoke and spindle to maintain the base of the foot assembly. The contractor shall supply all labor, equipment and consumable supplies to manufacture in its entirety. The Government does not own data rights or technical drawings. The Government is anticipating a Firm Fixed Price type contract. Inspection and acceptance shall occur at source. All finished Hydraulic Jacks are to be shipped FOB destination by 03 SEPT 2003. In addition, the packing/packaging will be best commercial practice. A Request for Quote (RFQ) will be faxed upon request. However all requests must be received within 15 days. Responses should reference N68335-03-T-0024. The RFQ will NOT appear on NAVAIR homepage. N68335-03-T-00242 will be issued on or about 30 August 2003. The point of contact is Joanne Southworth at (732) 323-2756. E-Mail: Joanne.Southworth@navy.mil All contractors seeking award must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contracts cannot be awarded to contractors unless they are registered. For CCR information contact the CCR Registration Assistance Center (RAC), at: 888-227-2423, or contact the CCR Program Office by e-mail at: contact.ccr@us.pwcglobal.com
