Description
NA NEW SITE VISIT IS SCHEDULED FOR 5 AUGUST 2003 AT FORT ONTARIO, OSWEGO, NY AT 11:00 A.M. LOCAL TIME. THE NEW BID OPENING DATE IS 18 AUGUST 2003. This project (2,327.94 square meter (25,057.74 square feet) gross area) is a new 100 member Army Reserve Training Center (ARC), an Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS), and an unheated storage building for an Engineering Battalion Company. Buildings will be permanent construction with reinforced concrete foundations, concrete floor slabs, structural steel frames, masonry veneer exterior walls, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Supporting facilities include demolition of existing structures, land clea ring, paving, fencing, general site improvements, and extension of utilities to serve the project. Force protection (physical security) measures include maximum feasible standoff distance from roads, parking areas, and vehicle loading areas, heavy landscap ing, and bollards to prevent access when standoff distances cannot be maintained. The ARC includes administrative areas, assembly area, classrooms and learning complex, arms vault and unit and individual storage areas. The OMS provides for the functional t raining of maintenance personnel. The OMS space includes one work bay, tool and parts storage, shop office, flammable storage, controlled waste storage, and toilet. The unheated storage facility will provide non-climate controlled storage space for unit eq uipment. In addition, the project will provide Military Equipment Parking (MEP) and Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) parking. Intrusion detection systems (IDS) support requirements are for weapons vault and fire/security safety. There are 6 option items, they are paving, landscaping, clerestory, exterior lighting, operable partitions and lightning protection. This project is available on compact disk only. Project specification files are Portable Document Format (PDF) files and can be viewed, navigated, or pri nted using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The drawing files are in CAL format and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Source View Reader. Both readers are contained in the solicitation package. Minimum system requirements are: 486- based personal computer, M icrosoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8 MB application RAM, 4 MB hard disk space, and compact disk drive.
