- Description
- This is a notice of the Department of Energy's intent to award a sole source acquisition to DRI WEFA which will incorporate into an already existing contract the requirement to provide continuing support for proprietary model access plus extensions and revisions of the DRI-WEFA economic models: the U.S. Quarterly Macroeconomic Model, the Industry Model for the PC, the Employment Model, and - as options - the Regional model and, Dodge data Global Scenario Model. The existing contract covers the requirement to provide a subscription to commercial econometric forecasting services which includes as a core set of services: North American Energy Service, World Service, Emerging Europe Economies Service, Global Petroleum Service, and World Industry Monitor. The world Service includes the Developed Economies Service, Latin America Service, Asia Service and Middle East and Africa Service. Other non-core products included in the basic contract that may be purchased include the U.S. Macroeconomic Service, Canadian Macroeconomic Service, World Service, along with other DRI WEFA products that may become available in the future, as needed. The proposed contract incorporation will be for 1 base year plus 2 option years. This proposed action is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties who feel they can provide the services may respond by submitting their capability statements to the email address in the notice, including prices. All submission must be received within fifteen (15) calendar days of this publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
