- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation/synopsis reference number is F08620-03-QS749 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-12. This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED. The associated NAICS code is 212312 with 500 employees. Prospective contractors may bid on the base course and clay individually. The order may be awarded to one or two companies (multiple award). Contractors shall submit a lump sum proposal. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, parts and transportation to and from job site until task completion. The work to be performed includes, but not necessarily limited to the following features: multiple deliveries of base course to equal 2,322 tons and multiple deliveries of clay to equal 2,118 tons. The materials shall be delivered to the Eglin Air Force Base (Chicken Little Site) approximately 12 miles east of Niceville, Florida and 3 miles north of Highway 20. Transportation costs must be included in pricing. The contractor shall coordinate deliveries with the point of contact that will be designated at a later time. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. Price shall be the primary factor used to evaluate offers.
