Description

POC – Contracting Officer – Mike Blinn (406) 683-3983 Description: Project involves reconditioning and aggregate surfacing on approximately 6 miles of existing single-lane native surface road. Items of work include reconditioning existing road (approximately 6.14 miles); construction of minor drainage features (approximately 4900 feet of roadside ditch, 75 feet of outlet ditch, 1495 feet of ditch armor, 2 culvert catch basins, 106 linear feet of 18 inch Corrugated Metal Pipe and 10 drain dips); crushing and placing aggregate surfacing (approximately 7500 cubic yards compacted-in-place); crushing and stockpiling aggregate surfacing (approximately 10,000 cubic yards loose measure); and pit development and reclamation. The project is located on and adjacent to the Gravelly Range Road No. 290 that runs north and south along the crest of the Gravelly Mountain Ranger approximately 25 miles southwest of Ennis, MT. Work is estimated to begin July 1, 2003, with a 90-day completion time. Magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. A Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for June 3, 2003, and all interested parties shall meet at the Sheridan Work Center Office located at the south end of Sheridan, MT beginning at 9:00 a.m. After the initial office meeting, a field trip to the project site will be held. The solicitation package will be available for bidders approximately the end of May 2003.
