Description

The Food and Drug Administration, (FDA), Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM), has a requirement to be awarded on a sole-source basis for the purchase of a maintenance/service agreement for Model 3700 DNA Analyzer (sequencer). The incumbant contractor for this agreement is Applied Biosystems, Foster City, CA. The service agreement from this contractor guarantees the following critical advantages: Only factory trained, certified engineers will service the instruments; factory/certified engineers will reduce down time; annual planned maintenance visits will be performed to insure optimal performance and help maintain maximum uptime; exclusive access to service upgrades and update on all instruments; extensive inventory of authorized parts ensuring minimum downtime; complete telephone support. The contractor is the manufacturer of the equipment to be serviced/maintained and the sole source for the required service. There awarded will be made on a sole source basis, no solicitation will result from this announcement.
