- Intent to Sole Source. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion & Repair, USN (SUPSHIP), has a requirement to procure fifteen(15) each replacement hot water heaters, 40 GPM, AERCO Model SW1B06-1-1/2? for installation onboard the USS RONALD REGAN(CVN-76). This requirement is being issued by GovWorks under the franchise authority of the Department of the Interior (DOI) on behalf of SUPSHIP and in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. AERCO International is the OEM for the hot water heaters being used onboard all CVN-68 class Navy Aircraft Carriers. AERCO International possesses proprietary drawings, technical data and parts required to provide newly designed replacement water heaters, model SW1B06-1-1/2?, using 70-30 copper nickel alloy internal tubing for use on all CVC-68 class nuclear powered aircraft carriers. Installation of AERCO hot water heaters onboard CVN-68 class Navy Aircraft Carriers is also required to maintain standardization of equipment and parts. The period of performance for this effort shall not exceed 6 weeks from the date of award. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with AERCO International for the supplies in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities or submit proposals via email to both marycoleman@govworks.gov and terriecallahan@govworks.gov This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 5 working days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
