Description

PROPOSED SYNOPSIS Title: Sodium Iodide Detector Client: AFTAC THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS! The required service is to provide a SAM Nuclear Spectroscopy System (3 ea), internal He-3 neutron detector (3 ea) and supporting electronics, rugged case (3 ea), quantum MCA, Windows-based quantitative analysis software (3 ea), and calibration sources (10 micro-curie Europium-152) (4 ea). These items will be delivered to Patrick AFB, FL. The Government intends to award on a sole source basis to Berkley Nucleonics Corporation. They are the only source capable of fulfilling the government?s requirement for the nuclear spectroscopy system as the protocols for TM programs were developed using their system. Solicitation No. F08650-03-T-0218 is issued for informational purposes only. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 3825, business size of $500 and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 334515. Sources who feel they are capable of performing this effort will have to provide evidence of technical capability. Once technical capability is established by the end user, the source may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. No solicitation will be posted electronically, but this office will provide a copy to any firm requesting one. Anticipated award date will be on or around 1 Aug 03.
