- Description: (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included with this notice. This announcement constitutes only the solicitation; proposals are being requested, a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number is F2OGFM31600100 and is being issued as a request for quotation. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. (iv) Notice: The solicitation is 100% set-aside for Small Business. The NAICS code is 337214 with a size standard not to exceed 500 employees. (v) Contract line item number 0001 is for eighty 20? wide theater chairs, intermediate floor mounting leg, category 2 fabric. Fabric colors are bright red, bright green, royal blue, and burgundy. 20 of each color, solid colors only. Contract line item number 0002 is for 8 final left legs. Contract line item number 0003 is for 8 pairs of half panels for the initial legs, category 2 fabric. Contract line item number 0004 is for 80 writing tablets with antipanic mechanism. Contract line item number 0005 is for curved row upcharge. Contract line item number 0006 is for installation of theater seating in curved rows. 20 chairs of each color in two consecutive rows. Red seats first, green seats second, blue seats third, and burgundy seats in the last two rows, for a total of 80 chairs. Rows will be mounted on four different tiers. (See attached RFQ) (vi) Description is as follows: Legs are 14 gauge steel, oval steel column 3 ?? X 1 ??. Floor mounting feet are 14 gauge stamped steel. Armrest caps are fire retardant, integral skinned polyurethane with steel insert, and are easily replaceable. All metal components are finished with ?anti-scratch?, matte finish, anthracite color, and epoxy powder coat. The inner seat structure is made from 3/5? cross laminated beech wood with steel pivots for attachment to side supports. The padding is 2 ?? thick, fire retardant, cold molded, polyurethane with a density of 3 lbs per cubic foot. The seat tip-up mechanism is a counterweight system and the rotation pivots are of self-lubricating Delrin. Seats are easily replicable without removing or disassembling the rows. Backrest inner structure is 2/5? thick cross-laminated beech wood. Padding is 2 ?? fire retardant, cold molded, polyurethane with a density of 3 lbs per cubic foot. Backrest is protected with an injected molded, black polypropylene shell. Chairs are to be installed in 8 curved rows with 10 chairs in each row. The length of each row will be 16?-7 ?? by 4? 1? deep. All 8 rows must be installed within a 32?- 8? length. (vii) FOB: Destination. Place of delivery is 300 Minuteman Dr, Room 9, Bldg 546, Minot AFB, ND 58705. (viii) The provision of 52.212-1, Instruction to Offers-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and a statement regarding any addenda to the provision. (ix) The provision 52.212-2, Evaluation ?Commercial Items, applies to this procurement. The evaluation procedure to be used for this procurement is price and price related factors. (x) Offers shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with offer (see attachments). (xi) Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (xii) Clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial items, applies to this acquisition and the additional FAR clauses cited in the clause are applicable to the acquisition: 52.222-19,21,26,35,36,37, - 52.225-1, - 52.232-33. (xiii) Any additional contract requirement(s) or determined by the contracting officer to be necessary for this acquisition and consistent with customary commercial practices are included herein. (xiv) All responsible sources may submit a quote by 10:00 AM Central Standard Time on 08 August 2003. Quotes received after that time will not be considered.
