Description

The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) is conducting an investigation to establish the likely technical cause or causes of the building failure in the Station nightclub fire in West Warwick, Rhode Island on the night of February 20, 2003. The objectives of this requirement focus on documenting the egress event, the role of the life safety features in the structure in assisting safe egress, and comparing/contrasting the egress process and outcome to other similar events. Details of this requirement will be provided in the solicitation. The requirement will be for a period of four (4) months. Award of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Purchase Order is anticipated. It is anticipated that a single solicitation will be issued on or about July 31, 2003 at www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation, all amendments and any questions and answers to the solicitation will be posted to FEDBIZOPPS and are totally the responsibility of the Offeror. No mailing lists will be kept and no hard copy of the RFQ will be available.
